World Tea & Coffee Expo is an Indian specialist show focused on tea and coffee and the equipment and materials that go with them. It is run by Messe Muenchen India, the same operator as the beverage equipment show drinktec India.<\/p>\n\n

What kind of trade show it is<\/h2>\n

India is a tea-producing country and also has coffee-growing areas, mainly in the south. The organizer lists tea and coffee growers and exporters, roasters, and makers of brewing equipment and packaging materials as the intended exhibitors.<\/p>\n

The same Messe Muenchen India holds drinktec India, for beverage equipment, on October 28-30, 2026. We have not been able to confirm any organizer announcement presenting WTCE as a concurrent show, however, so whether the two can be visited together is a matter to ask about.<\/p>\n\n

What Japanese companies can do here<\/h2>\n

For companies buying tea leaves or coffee, it is a place to compare suppliers in the growing regions. Indian tea differs in character by region, and even within Darjeeling the price band varies by estate.<\/p>\n

For companies considering opening a caf\u00e9 or selling Japanese tea, it is also a place to check how people in India drink. Chai, boiled with sugar and milk, is the everyday way of drinking, so Japanese tea brought in as it is will not be received in the same way. The show gives you material for thinking through how to serve it as well.<\/p>\n\n
