KISAN Agri Show is an Indian agricultural trade show that has run since 1993. The visitors are mainly farmers, and agricultural machinery, irrigation equipment, seeds and seedlings, and post-harvest processing equipment fill a large outdoor and indoor venue.<\/p>\n\n

What kind of trade show it is<\/h2>\n

The fact that most visitors are farmers gives it a different character from other food shows. Maharashtra has many fruit and vegetable growing areas, and producers of grapes, pomegranates, onions, and sugarcane come to see the machines in person. The exhibits include outdoor demonstrations, so you can see machinery while it is running.<\/p>\n

The show has continued since 1993 and reaches its 34th year in 2026. The organizer expects more than 600 exhibitors and more than 150,000 visitors (on some pages the figure is given as 200,000).<\/p>\n\n

What Japanese companies can do here<\/h2>\n

For companies with agricultural supplies, small machinery, or post-harvest drying and sorting equipment, it is a place to check the sense of pricing on the ground in India. Price levels differ greatly from Japan, so compare with competing machines on the price after subsidies and on maintenance costs, not only on the unit price.<\/p>\n

From the sourcing side, it is a place to make contact with producer groups and collectors in the growing regions. If you plan to bring fruit or vegetables from Maharashtra to Japan as dried or processed goods, you can check the growing areas and the lot sizes here.<\/p>\n\n

What to check before visiting<\/h2>\n

The venue is in Moshi, away from central Pune. If you travel overland from Mumbai, allow three to four hours.<\/p>\n

Conversations with visitors will not necessarily be finished in English alone. Securing an interpreter changes how much you can take in.<\/p>\n\n
