Business and strengths<\/h2>

It collects about 31 million liters of milk a day and exports to more than 50 countries. It organizes more than 3.6 million dairy farmers, and its greatest strength is a cooperative model with no middleman margin in between. It holds the top share in every dairy category, including milk, butter, cheese, ice cream, and yogurt.<\/p>

In FY2026, sales across the Amul brand as a whole passed \u20b91 lakh crore, up about 11% from \u20b990,000 crore the year before. Sales at GCMMF on its own, which handles marketing, were \u20b973,450 crore, up 11.4% year on year. What the 18 member unions sell themselves is not counted in GCMMF's sales, so the figure for the Amul brand as a whole and the figure for GCMMF's sales are two different numbers.
