Zomato changed its name to Eternal Limited in 2025, and is now a holding company bringing together four businesses: Zomato in food delivery, Blinkit in quick commerce, Hyperpure in food ingredient wholesale for restaurants, and District in going-out experiences. In FY2026 the mix changed to the point where Blinkit accounts for close to 70% of consolidated revenue.<\/p>\n

The company's center of gravity has moved from delivery to retail<\/h2>\n

Deepinder Goyal, who served as group CEO for 18 years from the founding, stepped down, and as of February 1, 2026 Albinder Singh Dhindsa, who had been leading Blinkit, became CEO. Goyal remains as vice chairman, subject to shareholder approval. The head of quick commerce becoming the head of the whole company shows directly where the company's center of gravity has moved.<\/p>\n

Consolidated revenue for FY2026 was \u20b954,364 crore, a large increase from \u20b920,243 crore the year before, but this is because Blinkit switched to holding inventory on its own books from the first quarter of the fiscal year ended March 2026, which had the large effect of putting the price of goods into revenue. It is not suited to a simple comparison with the year before.<\/p>\n

What Japanese food makers should look at is Hyperpure<\/h2>\n

Of the four brands, the one that is a direct point of contact for Japanese food companies is Hyperpure. This is a business that wholesales ingredients to restaurants, delivering vegetables, meat, dairy, seasonings and packaging materials together. Restaurants in India have traditionally bought item by item at the market, but the more chains spread, the more demand there is for buying everything from one supplier.<\/p>\n

EBIT for FY2026 turned positive at \u20b916 crore (FY2025: minus \u20b943 crore). On a quarterly basis, restaurant supply revenue for January to March 2026 rose 37% year on year on a like-for-like basis. Reported revenue for the same quarter, however, was \u20b9978 crore, down 47% from a year earlier. This is because Blinkit moved to holding inventory itself, shifting part of what had been booked under Hyperpure to the quick commerce side. In 2026 the business widened its coverage from large chains to smaller restaurants as well.<\/p>\n

If you want to sell foodservice ingredients to restaurants in India, there is the option of listing here rather than calling on stores one by one. At present, though, it centers on fresh produce and general goods, and how far imported processed ingredients are handled needs to be checked.<\/p>\n

Points for Japanese companies<\/h2>\n

Zomato if you run a restaurant in India, Blinkit if you sell consumer goods, Hyperpure if you sell foodservice ingredients. Because one group holds three entrances, the counterpart you deal with and the terms both change depending on which business you work with.<\/p>\n

The fact that the same group holds both the delivery commission charged to restaurants and the wholesale of ingredients is also a structure to keep in mind as a trading partner.<\/p>\n
