History and growth<\/h2>\n

Varun Madan studied engineering at NSIT Delhi and took an MBA at XLRI, then worked on strategy and M&A at Wipro before starting Salad Days in 2014. After establishing a base in Delhi NCR he expanded to Bengaluru and Mumbai, and in June 2026 opened a first location in Hyderabad as well. As of 2026 there are 50 cloud kitchens: 26 in Delhi NCR, 12 in Bengaluru, 11 in Mumbai, and 1 in Hyderabad.<\/p>\n

Revenue for FY2025 (fiscal year ended March 2025) was \u20b953.5 crore, up 71.9% from \u20b931.1 crore the year before, and net income of \u20b91.3 crore put the company in the black. In January 2025 it raised \u20b930 crore (about 3.4 million dollars) in its first institutional round, co-led by V3 Ventures and Client Associates Alternates Fund.<\/p>\n
