Reassessing the strategic value of Vietnam's bases<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Samsung's investment is a signal that Vietnam is being upgraded from a \"low-cost assembly base\" to a \"strategic base for advanced packaging.\" It's worth considering a similar upgrade for the existing manufacturing bases Japanese companies already have in Vietnam.
