GoodDot makes plant-based meat alternatives in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Putting shelf-stable curries rather than frozen patties at the center of its range is what determines how well it fits India's sales floors.

Meat alternatives are usually distributed frozen, but GoodDot put shelf-stable cooked curries at the center of its range. Many retailers in India have no freezer case, so a frozen-only approach limits the shelves a product can reach. In curry form it goes onto the ambient shelf, and households handle it no differently from conventional Indian food.
In August 2021 Sixth Sense Ventures invested in a pre-Series A round. It is described as the first VC money to enter India's plant-based meat field, and that firm's founder, Nikhil Kishorchandra Vora, sits on GoodDot's board.
Beyond wholesaling its products, the company itself runs a QSR chain called GoodDo. It has outlets in Udaipur, Mumbai, and Delhi as well as in Kathmandu, Nepal, and by holding its own stores a manufacturer secures both a place to show how meat alternatives are eaten and an outlet for its ingredients.
It is also pushing supply to restaurant chains, and as of 2021 business with Domino's and Marriott was reported.
Revenue at the operating entity was ₹97.05 crore for the fiscal year ended March 2025, up by more than 30% from ₹73.56 crore in the previous period. Export destinations include the United States, Canada, Australia, Singapore, and the UAE. It has 120 employees (as of August 2025).
From the perspective of a Japanese food manufacturer, this is a partner that can mass-produce veg-compliant protein ingredients in retort form that ship at ambient temperature. What separates it from meat alternative makers in other countries is that it already has product design matched to the religious constraints within India.
