Chennai, India-based SaaS startup Rocketlane raised, on March 25, 2026, in a Series C round, $60 million (approximately ¥9 billion) The company announced it had raised this amount. The lead investor was Insight Partners, a US VC/PE firm, bringing cumulative funding to $105 million. As an AI-powered platform for automating B2B operations, the company is rapidly building presence in the global enterprise market.
Rocketlane is a startup that develops and provides a Professional Services Automation (PSA) platform for enterprises. It centralizes client project management — tasks, schedules, communication, and document sharing — to automate and streamline service operations.
Growth metrics from 2023 to 2026:
Its competitors are Western SaaS players such as ServiceTitan, Certinia (formerly FinancialForce), and Teamwork, but Rocketlane differentiates itself by specializing in project management combined with AI automation.
The $60 million raised will be allocated mainly to the following:
Rocketlane's newly released "Nitro" is a platform on which AI agents autonomously carry out project management tasks. The agentic AI handles automatic status-update generation, risk prediction, and drafting client reports. The concept is to "hand routine work that people used to do over to the agent, so humans can focus on higher-value judgment."
Using its offices in London, New York, and San Francisco as bases, the company will strengthen sales to enterprise companies in the West. In the B2B SaaS market, the annual contract value (ACV) per enterprise deal is large, so even a small number of major customers can have a big impact on revenue.
The company will continue investing in predictive AI feature development, including project delay prediction, resource allocation optimization, and automatic calculation of customer satisfaction scores.
As of 2026, India's SaaS industry has reached a major turning point. With success stories of "India-born global SaaS" such as Freshworks, Zoho, and Darwinbox now established, the old image of "India as a commodity software supplier" is changing.
From investors' perspective, the following factors are seen as attractive:
Insight Partners is a VC known for early investments in Salesforce, HubSpot, and Twitter, and its investment in Rocketlane signals conviction in "the potential for Indian B2B SaaS to expand globally."
The rise of India-born B2B SaaS like Rocketlane suggests two opportunities for Japanese companies.
In service industries such as client project management, consulting, and IT implementation support, tools like Rocketlane directly lead to standardization and efficiency. In many cases they are more advanced in functionality than existing Japanese-language SaaS.
As global SaaS companies open up the Japanese market, more of them are seeking local distributors and partners. Building relationships with Indian SaaS companies early on can be an opportunity to establish a unique position in the Japanese market.
