Bharat Tex is an Indian textile show that brings raw cotton, yarn, fabric, apparel, and machinery together in a single venue. It started in 2024 with backing from the Ministry of Textiles and has become a large event in which state governments and industry bodies take part.

India is a production base that can cover everything from cotton growing to spinning, weaving, and sewing within the country. Bharat Tex is set up to show all of those steps at once, combining buyer meetings with invited overseas buyers and sessions on policy and investment.
Bharat Mandapam is in central New Delhi, a facility where large government-hosted events are held.
For the side that sells materials, it is a place to show materials and technology directly to Indian spinning and garment companies. The more a product needs its application explained, as with functional fabrics or flame-retardant materials, the more it makes sense to bring the physical product.
For the buying side, it allows suppliers of fabric and sewing to be compared. India's states differ in the processes they are strong in, with knitwear in Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu, and cotton in Gujarat. Narrowing down the candidates at the show and then visiting the factories to confirm is the realistic sequence.

Textile products originating in Japan are treated as exempt from the azo dye test certificate when imported into India. Confirming this point with your local importer when you work out the import procedure reduces rework.
