ProWine Mumbai is an international show for alcoholic drinks that has its origins in ProWein in Düsseldorf. Wine and spirits are at the center, and importers, hotel and restaurant buyers, sommeliers, and bartenders attend.

The show is built around country pavilions and master classes. Products are explained through tasting, so it suits products that need their flavor explained. The visitors are mainly hotels, restaurants, bars, and importers in Mumbai.
Alcohol consumption in India leans heavily toward whisky, and wine and imported drinks are concentrated in the urban areas of Mumbai, the Delhi capital region, and Bengaluru. ProWine is aimed at those urban buyers.
For companies handling sake, craft gin, or shochu, it is a place to meet Mumbai's food service operators and importers in one go. In buyer meetings, the concrete points are which states the counterpart is licensed to handle alcohol in, and how label registration and marking will be cleared.
Whether a discussion moves forward, however, is determined by the license and tax structure in each state. Whether you sell in Maharashtra or extend into other states changes both the partner you work with and the price. Check the scope of the counterpart's license first.
The show runs only two days, so without appointments arranged in advance you will be carried along by the flow of visitors.
